I wonder if it comes in carbon fiber trim, or whether the metal insert could be fitted to existing CF shifters....

Making it from titanium might justify the $'s?

Looks good, but I think it would look better with the silver ring round the base where it meets the console.

Well Correction:

I just received my order, and it turned out to be a leather boot only with the RUF logo on it. Oh well, looks like I"m going to return it.

What do you guys think about the RUF SHORT shfiter vs. BM vs EVO? Anyone have one?

I heard Porsche for 04, has a short shifter option now. I have seen the one in the boxster which looks like the 993 shifter. Wonder if that can be sold aftermarket.

Shank, I like my Ruf short shifter although once in a great while catching third is a little "notchy". Plain and simple, it works the way it's supposed to! Can't really compare to others though.

Ryan,

I had Factory sport shifter on my ex 04 4S and it feels alot shorter than the B&M one IMO. But for $800 I rather have aftermarket one.
