Anyone has the Engine Protection Plate installed?

Does it really protects the oil pan/engine? Looks like a small investment for the engine but is it necessary? Anyone has any opinion ?

do you scrape ever? i don't see the need for it esp if you are at stock height. if anything, i'd like to get a boomerang that attaches to the front bumper bottom to avoid scraping on driveways.

No question that it is worth the $50. I think it should come standard.

I had a similar one- not exactly the same, but it was a real pain in the a$$ to remove everytime I wanted to change the oil. It's collecting dust on my garage wall now.

Two other issues to consider:

1- if there is an oil or transmission leak, will it delay you from spotting it.

2- will it retain engine heat or retard the dissipation of engine heat.

Regards

Sameer

I had one on '03 C2 and it was an easy install. Did it in anticipation of lowering, but never got that far and it never scraped at stock height, of course. Should've taken it off before trading in, but lost mind temporarily. Got mine from Carnewal with great service!

Yikes, it's now $94.50. Must have become popular?
