AS/Blk is a very common color combo, it's safe. You'll blend in with 80% of the other Porsches.

GR/Blk is not as common, will standout more and statistics show red cars are more likely to get pulled over.

I say......SEAL GREY!!!!!!!!!

If you want a change from SG then I'd go with the Guards Red. That is more of a change than AS would be. If you got bored of SG, you'll for sure get bored of AS, IMO...

Thanks, I now have a CLK that is Brilliant Silver, I like the GR but there are none around to look at, and I would kind of like to see it first.

L.A. Cab is infamous around these parts
As a owner of a AS/Blk cab, here is my 2cents:

AS is very easy to maintain, (paint) looks clean even after two weeks of not being washed, chips and scratches do not seem to stand out as much as Guard Red, I like GR, it was my second choice.
My opinion is AS...

Yes it is a low maint. color hides dirt, scratches, nicks etc. well... My car does not get any of these as I pamper the **** out of it... However the other halfs Z3 is Silver and she does not care for the car in the same way.

I say stick with the AS... Not a fan of Red.

Here is a picture of Justin's car at the 6speed meet. I think it is Guards Red, but not the black interior.

Thumbs up Color Choice

My 2000 996 is Artic Silver,Black Interior(Sport Seats) and Guards Red Seat belts. It is STUNNING. Make sure you get Chrome and Aluminum Package and Sport Seats no matter what you chose. Also resale will be much easier with silver. you can take my word on this as I have sold cars for 23 years and know what customers say when I show them a red car no matter if it is a Porsche or not. Do not try to match the Seat Belts to the exterior as the shades will be different and it will look like a five year old kid ordered it. If you chose red exterior i would get yellow seat belts....TRUST ME!!!

AS/blk red belts here too...
I honstly am not a fan of red in general so am biased.
I wnet from an Ocean blue 99 cab to a Speed yellow C4 coupe to an AS 01TT....For my 03 I was debating between yellow and silver...Silver is just very classic PORSCHE
