Had a little fun on the way home...

I picked up some food for myself and my wife (who is on bed rest with her pregnancy, so I have to buy food since I can't cook anything but Dominoes Pizza) .... anyway, on the way back there were 2 guys in a late model Mustang Cobra that appeared to be slightly modded. We stopped at a light together on a pretty empty road. I tried to ignore them, but windows down and sunroof open, I couldn't totally blow them off. They were saying, "You wanna go?"
Being Mr. Cool that I am my exact, rambling response was, "I don't know... uh.. well, I usually don't drag this car and I got food on the floor here... uh... I don't like to rag on my clutch... uh um... maybe a rolling start, but not past 60... cops ya know..."

I am sooo smooth.

Light turned green and we put it in gear and went. I expected to lose, but I really wanted to see how my car would stack up. You always hear people whining about how our cars get beat by low end cars, so I thought I'd see what the fuss was about. Well, it wasn't even close. He was at my bumper by the end of 2nd gear or so. I stopped at 70 (speed limit was 50 on this road).
At the next light, the driver said, "Nice car. How much did you pay for it?"
DON'T YOU HATE THAT QUESTION?!

Anyway, I was happy w/ my car. There's no reason to whine about these cars. They are awesome! Now I gotta go clean the Boston Market chicken off the seats and get it to my wife...

When they ask the 'How much was your car?" question, just say,

"Don't know. I stole it."

I like the stole it response... The Bubb Rub is an extra kick to it. hehe

I usually respond with, "I don't know... it's my grand mother's."

I didn't this time because I didn't want to insult his car since he just got beat and he seemed to be a pretty nice guy.

Tell them your girlfriend gave it to you to drive while she's doing away doing Sports Illustrated photo shoot.
