How much should i pay for a 2005 996 c4s with 11k miles?

Are you sure it is a 2005 MY C4S?? I don't think there was a 4S model in My 05 as they changed the transmission and didn't offer the C4S model until MY 06. Having just shoped around when I bought my P-car, an 05 carrera S coupe can be had for around 65K private sale and a bit more from dealer especailly if it offers the CPO extended warranty.

I am looking at an 05 996 c4s at circle porsche. I thought the same thing. They said they made a 996 and 997 that year. Is this right?

 

That is correct. 05 was the last MY for the 996 C4S and Turbo. 05 was also the first MY for the 997 C2 and C2S. I believe that 06 was the first MY for the 997 C4S.

 

If that one doesn't work out, I have a nice midnight blue one with less then 16,500 miles. Im in San Francisco.

As others have referenced, there were some 996 ( 3.6l) C4S made in 2005 that apprently were called 2005 MY cars which in my words were simply cars to use the existing inventory of 996 motors and body design to make way for the 997 vintage that was introduced in My 2005. As far as I know, there are NO differences in the 2004 C4S coupe vs the MY 2005 C4S coupe. therefore, you could use that point a a bargaining point to have circle lower their price. Most people think of 2005 as the intro of the 997 platform which included the 3.8 motor and corresponding body and interior changes.

I saw the C4S from Circle Porsche a few times. Actually, to my knowledge the car has been seating at the lot for awhile now (3-4 months). To me the price was too high that is the reason for it. Was it Seal Gray in color?
