i'm not sure why you guys don't believe me

the TB has been tested by tuners and has been shown to get very little increase. especially for how expensive they are. apparently porsche's TB design on the NA 996's is very good. i had a tuner tell me that he wasn't comfortable selling it to me because he knew how insignificant the gains were. he also knows that i'm a dyno freak and i would have busted it outline

Nice, I talked to Greg on Friday and he told me that the plenums for the 3.4L guys will be expoxied and ready to go probably Tuesday.

If anyone on the board wants to grab lunch near by when they go pick their plenum up at RSS/Stuttgart, PM me!

Chrome, I was told there is no difference between the 3.6 and 3.4 plenum as long as they are e-gas. I believe this would be 2001 3.4 up to 2004 3.6. Even though the 3.4 model # ends in 200 and the 3.6 ends in 201, they are exactly the same . . . I hope so. I'm receiving mine tomorrow for a 2001 3.4L and the model # on my invoice ends in 201 and says 996 01-04 3.6L.

Does anyone know definitively how to know if your car is e-gas or not by model year?

As previously stated, I'll be receiving my plenum tomorrow. I'm going to dyno my car in the a.m., install the plenum, unplug my battery for 5 minutes, drive hard for a day and dyno again Tuesday a.m. I've already had installed Fabspeed mufflers and headers, Evo's first CAI and and an Upsolute chip. All of this was done 4 years ago. I wonder where I'll end up with HP and TQ numbers. I'll let you know. Since I'm in Denver, a mile high, I've been told I already lose around 20% of my power. Does the dyno adjust for this or do I have to add 20% back into my numbers? Thanks alot.

yes, you ask for "corrected" dyno numbers.

Ken, I'm anxious to see your dyno results. Actually, the usual rule-of-thumb is 3% power loss per 1,000'. I'm in Evergreen and I experience a 24% loss.
