Where did it say the 3.6 L only gain 15hp? On the website it clearly states 25hp gained and not 15. Could Someone from road sport supply verify this? If so then i'm in for one!

Is there a satisfaction gaurantee for this product?

Thanks

Interesting. I cut and pasted the info yesterday, but it is clearly different today. Wonder if they had a typo?

i think a full exhaust (headers, sport cats, and exhaust) combined with an intake, the plenum and a chip would yield more like 50-60 hp. if the plenum alone gives you at least 20 hp conservatively, then the other stuff should def get you much higher than just 30 crank hp.

This was what I saw on the website a few days ago:

996 Intake Plenum for 3.4 Liter 99-00
HP Gains: 25
Torque Gains: 22
Part# 96200
Retail Price: $995

996 Intake Plenum for 3.6 Liter 01-04
HP Gains: 15
Torque Gains: 14
Part# 96201
Retail Price: $995
Looks like they just updated and changed the information on their site.
I would like to know why they made the changes, is it of new test results,
or is it so they can get more 3.6L orders? Coz' I know the original claimed 15hp gain was the big deciding factor for many 3.6L owners, including myself.

Yes i spoke with Greg from Road Sport SUpply Thursday afternoon and questioned him about the stated hp gains. From what he said it was due to further modifications of the plenum. HE said that they used an "equalization tube" (what it is i don't know). But to their surprise it netted an extra 12hp from the slight change.

So i went ahead an ordered a plenum for my 2002 996. There is a 100% satisfaction gaurantee with this product. So if you don't like the performance they will accept a return no questions asked. I do know that since this thread was started the plenums flew off the shelves. They are out of stock, but the production is under way and they should have more next tuesday.

I will also perform a before and after dyno of this product and let you guys know.

Bao

Great, Bao! Please do update us on your results.
All I need is a few more testimonials to be sold, especially since you have a 3.6L.

wow nice gains.. Has anyone ever done this on a 997S, I was really considering this mod but no one has posted any threads about any gains or anything... Would this be a pretty easy DIY. How about warranty issues.
HOW ABOUT GROUP BUYS.

Just had this installed on my 3.6L.. The engine revs easier to higher RPMs now. I've been driving the hell out of it to let the ecu adapt. So far, it feels good and it's a noticeable difference for me. I have the Schnell rubber replacement tube on the factory intake and OEM muffler PSE bypass mod.

Those guys at RSS and Stuttgart Performance are top notch!
