Congrats!!
It really is a nice product. We have been installing them for about 2 years at our shop with good results.
Nice bang for the buck.

Very nice mod!! However for my 3.6, $1000 for 15hp does not sound too appealing. Would be interesting to see the results after a CAI and exhaust as well.

I think ECU programing for a stock 3.6 yields about 10hp for around $1000(depending on program/company). So, the power to $$ ratio is pretty close I believe. I would be thrilled to that much out of a bolt on mod on a N/A motor.

How much was the install?

On a side note, the website says 99-00 3.4L...

I have an 01 and I was under the impression that it was still the 3.4L engine...

Wasn't 3.6L started in 02?

I'm impressed. 28 hp gain just from an intake plenum.

Someone really should inform those dumb Engineers at Porsche about this miraculous device . They charge $15,000 + for their X-51 package which includes dual air intakes, filter ,plenum, complete exhaust system plus chip and engine modifications .
And all these morons could get for all that is a measly 27 hp .

I have a few more mod suggestions:

add a K&N air intake ( with oil filter) for an additional ~32hp,
plus a Fabspeed exhaust package for another 40+hp
(all dyno proven of course)
and you wind up with over 100 additional hp .
That's 20 hp more than you get from a $25,000 Ruf supercharger(another bunch of stupid German Engineers )

ps: if you remove the hood badge, you will gain another 25 hp at speeds over 100 mph due to the reduced weight and wind resistance (as long as you putty in the holes) Lol

Nice idea. But why does it cost more than a set of headers? Or mufflers? or a Sig Sauer?

$1000.00 for an aluminum tube?!?

Jebus!

The cost is based on more than just materials (just an aluminum tube). Research and development, and most importantly, demand. You charge $1000 because people will gladly pay it.

Exactly. This product has been in developement for at least 2 years that I know of. Numerous versions have been made, dyno-tested, road tested, flow tested, revised, remade etc. After years of developement this product delivers what it was intended to do.

Peak numbers are nice to look at and throw out in BOLD print with exclamation marks...but it really produces power across the entire band like a properly designed product should. Fit and finish are exceptional, and installtion is DIY on the N/A motors.

It may be a simple looking product, but I think it is worth the price. IMO

Has anyone messed with the throttle body? That seems to be an item of improved performance with many tuners. Deputy Dog posted some dyno runs with this plenum and his Evo SC, but I don't think it did quite 28hp. Will
