Muffler Bypasses and CEL...

I recently installed muffler bypasses on my C4S. The check engine light is now on. Is this common? Anybody else have this problem? Thanks!

CEL's with muffler bypasses are pretty uncommon. CEL's are usually thrown by high flow cats or messing with the MAF when installing an intake.

Off subject, how do you like them? Notice any power increase, or just louder?

CEL went off today. Must not be related to the Bypasses. Taking it in this week to have checked out to be safe.

As for power increase, I can feel a bit of difference on the high-end. I am probably going to put sport mufflers on because I think I am going deaf. The sound is incredible from the outside, but inside the cabin...it's painful; especially if the windows are up.

No CEL issues to report here. I have them and LOVE them. It's definitely a preference. They are LOUD as heck and you will surely wake the neighbors when leaving the neighborhood. As for power increase, not much of a noticeable increase outside of the sound making it SOUND faster and the fact that you are about 50lbs lighter.

All in all, they are great and definitely turn heads. I have had many people pull up next to me and tell me that the car sounds fantastic. The wife is not much of a fan and is begging me to put the OEM exhaust back on.

GO FOR IT!!!

Boochook...WELL SAID. I had to buy the same ear plugs for the fiance. The bypass pipes are the ****. I did notice a power difference with the intake/K&N filter and bypass pipes combined. The perceived power increase through the sound is the best part and worth every penny if you can stand the noise.

I'm in a tough spot. I love, love, love the sound from the outside, but the inside noise is tough to deal with. With the windows down, the sound doesn't bother me at all...just sucks when it rains

I had the bypass pipes on for a few weeks. thought I was deaf. Sounds great, just not for me. it also masked the whining of the supercharger which I didn't like either.

I saw these on eBay and they look like Fabspeed pipes. For the money, I'd do it. I paid a lot more when I bought mine of a R***lister.
