Question rubber lining fix question

hey guys, i have a quick question. on my 996 C2 the rubber lining around the rear window is starting to get loose and even come out a bit. how can i glue this back on? is there a special glue you recommend or does something like just super glue work? please help if you can, thanks in advance!

why not use some of that black silicone sealant. just apply in the crevice after cleaning the area that is to be glued/sealed.
you can clean the extra stuff that squeazes out on the glass with a cloth, but you should tape that piece to let it cure.
you can use regular glue but the sealant will probably hold up better and this is probably similar to the product they use.

If it is a window seal/gasket, you should be able to find an adhesive specifically for that at any auto parts store. I think those types of adhesives are meant to stay pliable in the long run. I would be wary of using super glue on something like that.

Use automotive seam sealer. I would buy it from a high end auto parts store that sells autobody products (spray guns, bondo, etc). Do not use super glue. That would be equivalent to using duct tape.

I just went out into the garage and checked. The stuff I have used for gaskets/weatherstrip is Permatex (brand name) Super Weatherstrip Adhesive. It works great and stays pliable for at least the time it takes to get the damn weatherstrip in place properly. I believe it then gets more rigid as it cures.

You may want to ask a body shop what they would recommend since I am not quite sure whether this particular product is applicable to your application, but it sounds right.
