Does your SSK make "noise?"

I installed the B&M SSK about 2 weeks ago. It was probably the best mod I could have done to the car. I love that little tire chirp I can get now hitting second gear, and the shift from 2nd to 3rd at the top is absolutely seamless. The car feels much faster and more like a “sports car.” The install was simple, however, I was wondering if anyone knew how precise the cable alignment has to be when you hook them back up? I marked them as best I could and I’m 99.99% sure I got them back in exactly the same place. While the instructions say that the shifter should operate “silently,” I’m noticing a pronounced contact with something solid going into 1st gear that is not present in the other gears, nor was it there while stock. There is also an audible “click” midway between 1st and 2nd. I adjusted the play last night and the shifting is perfectly tight. 1st gear’s two nuances persist, however diminished. Is this normal or did I screw up the cable placing?

Thanks!!

I'd check movement with the console removed to make sure that the cables/assembly is not bumping up against anything.

I don't have any audible clicks between any gears..
