Coolant for 996
I recently had to replace the coolant tank on my 1999 996 C2 because of a crack in the tank housing. I notice that purchase the coolant from the dealer is quite expensive. If there something i can get from local Pet boys..etc. or similar to the one from maufacture.
I also notice that there are green and Orange color, but not sure which one is for Porsche. Any recommendation of name brand I should get. Can someone help me.

Hi 1999Porsche911,
Does it matter if the coolant color is green or Orange? Someone told me green color is not the right one for porsche 996. Just want to know whats the different.

996 Electrical problem
Guys, thanks for the info regarding the coolant. Today just bad luck, my wife went out to lunch with her co-workers. When they head back to the office and have her car parked. She can't lock the door, start the ignition, the whole thing just dead. I end up called AAA to toll the car to the dealer.
They now need to find out if its the battery or the alternator or ...etc.
The service manager said to replace a new battery will cost $350 including labor. Damn thats a lot.
Can I use after market battery from AutoZone like this one ? Does it have to be from porsche.
