Is it the same part as a turbo bumper? Will the 03C4S bumper fit on an 02? Thanks.

If it is an 02 C4S or any 02 996 it will.

I guess what I'm asking is will an 03 C4S bumper fit on an 02 C2 with the same modifications that it would take to fit an 02 turbo bumper on to an 02 C2? Is the 03 C4S bumper the same exact part as the 02 turbo bumper? Were there any changes between those years?

I assume that you talk about the front bumper, because the rear bumper won't fit on a narrow body chassis.

The base PU of the TT and the C4S front bumper are exactly the same. The difference is in the accessories of the bumpers: The TT front bumper has a slightly different aero-lip underneath the bumper and the center grille is different from the one used on the C4S (the latter ueses a drilled plate behind the center grille).

You should order the TT aero-lip and the grilles from the C4S if you want to use a TT/C4S front bumper on your C2.

To my knowledge the bumper only fits if you cut it at its end, bend it a little... and still... it won't fit exactly below the rear lights, since the TT/C4S/GT2 lights have a different shape.

It definitely looks cool on your car though.

You can even order a pre-cut TT/C4S/GT2 bumper for the narrow-body at http://www.speedart.de. However, I'll stick to my original statement that the wide-body rear bumper doesn't fit on the narrow-body (not without heavy modding/cutting).

So is that bumper you installed the exact same one as the TT or C4S? Or has it been made by Carnewal to fit the narrow-body chassis (like the one from SpeedArt).

Don't get me wrong... but I am really confused about this. As you know, the wide-body chassis is 2.5 inches wider than the narrow-body. These 2.5 inches have to go somewhere and to my understanding it's nearly impossible that the standard TT-bumper will fit as good on a narrow-body as the one you installed on your car.

It also wouldn't make sense that SpeedART sells specially produced TT-rear bumpers for the narrow-bodies, if the wide-body bumper fits...

Are you guys sure the 03 C4S bumper will fit on an 02 C2? I hate to be a pain but I think I'm gonna take the plunge and buy it. This particluar bumper has the turbo lower lip and the C4S grills. I just wanted to make sure the 03 model C4S front bumper will fit onto my 02 C2 with no probs other than the usual stuff. I hate to pay shipping on a bumper that won't fit. Thanks again. Let me know. I'll be sure post pics when I get this done

If by 02 C2 model you mean a facelifted Carrera, then I am sure that the 03 C4S front bumper will fit on your car. You "may" modify (enlarge) the air-vent opening behind the left and the right grille a little to make it look perfect... but that's not a "must".

If your Carrera still has the older headlights (pre 2002, "Boxster-style") then it won't fit.

Mine is a 2002 C2 cab with the Xenons (no orange on the bottom of the lights) so I think I should be okay. I went ahead and took the plunge. I bought the used 03 C4S bumper with the turbo lip on the bottom. Now the fun part begins By the way, Gert at Carnewal says you can reuse the stock ducts and the stock eyebrows.

From 2000 on, all headlights had the white bottom, no matter whether they were Xenon (Litronic) or not. However a 2002 996 should have the upgraded headlamps (turbo-style) already, so yea... you should be okay with that.

Well, I didn't know about the eyebrowes, but I knew that you may reuse your current air ducts. They do fit, but they don't look that good unless you enlarge the front opening. Anyway... check my other posts when you need more info about that point.
