Careless Passengers?

<rant>
Ever gotten out of your car, walk over to the other side and find your passenger carelessly opens the door far enough to hit whatever object it's close to? Gas pump, railings, trucks?

I dont want to insult my passengers by telling them something that should be blatantly obvious to them. They don't seem to have that mindset engrained into them to respect a door.

I insult my passengers. Better their feelings get hurt than my baby.

I second that. Their feelings could be easily repaired but not the car.

That is one of my personal pet peeves! Just because they don't have any respect for their own belongings, does'nt give them the right to mistreat yours.

Easy fix to this problem, the mod should only take an hour or so and does'nt cost a dime if you do it yourself. Follow these easy steps.

1. Open pasenger door CAREFULLY!
2. Remove pasenger seat.
3. If in doubt, and want to take an extra percaution, remove the rear seats as well! ( then they can't say "well i can sit in the back"
4. All you really need is the pilots seat anyway!

If at a gas station:

1) Ask passenger pilotely to step out of the vehicle
2) Proceed to shower passenger with Octane 87 fuel, until passenger learns his/her lesson.

Yeah, my problem is when it is one of my daughters... how do you get mad at an 11 year old who obviously knows she did something wrong.

Okay, she does have me wrapped around her finger... guess I will just be repainting the car later!

umm, stop dating those girls from Scores?

(j/k)

Some folks just have no common sense as they've probably never owned a car worth taking care of.

Kids, well, gotta love kids - Labor of love and IMO more important than a car

Guess I'll play devils advocate here and blame the driver. Don't park near anything that the door can be opened into or if you have no choice, let the passenger out before you get to close. Likewise, pull away from the object before you let the passenger in (or open the door for them)

Slamming the door hard is my biggest complaint about my passengers.

Possible solution-
Be a gentleman and always get the door.
