Help Catch Thiefs like this!!

Here is a one of the thiefs on ebay!!!

Litronics for Sale on Ebay Thief!!!!

Check his description... "since they were taken from my 2003 Boxster because I am installing aftermarket HID's on mine, so I will have no use for these anymore. There are no scratches on the outer casing of the headlights, no blemishes."

First these are like HID's why would you replace them.. second he states there not scratched on top meaning he did a great job stealing them..

Check his feedback, he buys gangster shoes and has a 240SX!!!
This guy needs to be turned in to the authorites ASAP!!!

You can also contact some of his former sellers and see if any will give you his address. I would check a couple to make sure he doesn't use different addresses.

Good idea matterhorn!!

Here is my letter to him..

Could you please provide proof of ownership for your 2003 Boxster along with a sales receipt for your new lights. The reason I ask is because I work for the LA Police Department as a head investigator for Automototive theft. These lights are being stole across the US, according to your feedback and description you state they were removed from a 2003 Boxster. You are replacing them with HID's which makes no sense because they are not made for this vehicle! You have purchases for Nissan 240SX products, and your lack of proof of ownership we will further have you investigated, unless proof is given!

No response yet!

I live in Ohio, so far this this has not affected me, but this pisses me off as well. I wrote to the SF PCA and did not get a response. I think the local PCA there should hire a private detective to track this guy down, or try to get the local police interested.

Has anyone alerted eBay?

They always claim to want to prevent fraud. If these are stolen and they are made aware of that fact, does that make eBay an accessory to the crime if the auction goes through? (I'm no lawyer, but that's what I would think.)

They have all the info on the seller and could turn it over to local law enforcement if they questioned the guy and his answers seemed doubtful.

kevin m,

i love that i'm a police investigator bit. i definitly think that will at least spook him if not cause him to retract his item. but there is a lot of fraud on ebay, more so on the Plasma TV, where they want you to e-escrow the money to them in a different country because they are away on business. i have delt with 3 different people pulling the same scam.

Hey Slick,
I don't know if you know it but 2003 Boxsters don't have those lights. They wouldn't be stolen would they?!

Signed by a Porsche owner!

DWARDHOG

Hope the punk returns with a response.

Got a response from him. It still doesn't sound legit to my. Why would someone sell a 2003 Boxster with old style lights and then claiming they are litronics and want to have so called litronics installed? I think he's related to "Bagdad Bob".

Here's the response letter;

ddwardhog,
actually, i am aware that the clear headlights come stock with the car, but a litronics upgrade is available. I bought my car used, which came with the litronics, however i had them replaced with the aftermarket 996 lights from pelican parts. I've already had this auction taken down from ebay because they thought the lights were stolen. I had my autobody shop contact ebay and tell them that thye were working on my car with an aftermarket swap. They also provided ebay with the invoices from pelican for the aftermarket litronics. Please do your research before you accuse anyone of anything. Thanks,
altezzza

Complete BS... he says in his description he upgraded to HID's that the reason for selling these, if he did he would be selling the old style non-litroincs... His auction is still up!

He refused to meet me (see above). I think the PCA in his area should hire a private eye to track this guy down.! The police seem to have no interest (I have already reported him)
