need help...

So I was driving pretty aggressive... I do a hard 1st to 2nd shift, which went fine. The problem was the end result. Now, the gear lever is very, very loose. Its so loose its almost impossible to tell if the lever is in gear (without driving). The **** seems to move much farther back (towards driver) when 2nd, 4th, and 6th are engaged.

Its got an extremely wobbly effect...
Does anyone know what exactly happened here? Did the gear link break or something?

thanks,
steve
