I've been lurking for awhile now and finally pulled the trigger on a 2002 C2 w/23,000 miles. It's near perfect in everyway and I am so happy to be joining 6speed.

Traded in my 2004 S4, great car, but does not compare.

Anyway, I hope to be a contributing member and look forward to having a long relationship with my new sweetheart.

 

Congrats! I didn't realize you can get a 996 without a sunroof.

 

Nice... No sunroof coup. Very rare... No cost delete option...

In retrospect, should have ordered my 996 that way, never use the sunroof anyway...

BTW: Do you have door speakers or do you have the lower storage bins (not the ones on the door rest.

There is a sunroof. Its just nice and clean and you can't see it in the pic. I wish it was sunroof delete. I could then fit with a helmet nicely during track days.

I have storage bins. I wish I had door speakers the dash placement sucks. My local installer wants to make custom door inserts but i am scared of modding the panels

What should my first mod be?

I just put some Yoko Neova's (my favorite all-time tire) this week and am itching for a sound that isn't so Beetle-like at idle , like AP or BB, after that, some coilovers (JIC)

Any suggestions are welcome.

 

Congrats and welcome! I almost bought a white 996 a few years ago. It's a fairly unusual color but I think it looks great on the 996.
