for the people that have done a double DIN install (I'm installing a Kenwood 7100), did you cut the piece that the radio/AC/PSM rocker, etc snaps into or did you get another OEM piece that accepts double DIN units? I'm talking about the piece that has the cupholders attached at the very top.

I cut mine, but you can get a part from the dealer that accepts the double din I think....I think the factory NAV system is a double DIN and will work, but just cut it...

 

Yea you can get the replacement surrounding that is designed for the NAV system...

There is no point though, just dremel or sand the tabs down.

 

Yea cut it...its pretty touch to find a good solid part to bend the tabs on the cage, mine still moves around a bit, i need to get back in there and have a real close look on how to mount it better
