the porsche maint cost increase continues.....
Maf
Coolant tank
thermastat
alternator
and
now wheelbearings.....

Damn car will be like new ....

Wheel bearing was pretty cheap to replace as I remember. for a car that's reaching age 9, it's not that bad seriously.

yea I know....just *****en and moaning.....sure is quite now that it's fixed...

I think the front wheel bearings are easier than the rears.
When My 2000 was still under warranty the rears were replaced. The dealer charge was $1,800+ as they said the rear suspension members had to be removed from the car to press out the wheels bearings. The bearings themselves were only $150 or so, it was mostly labor. I did not look real closely a the bill as it was a warranty repair and cost me nothing. Maybe the dealer was just padding the bill, I don't know.

yikes....
Sunset has the bearings for 48.00 frt/56.00rear each. My dealer matches the cost for the parts
The labor is the killer and seems like each dealer has their own pricing matrix....
