Help, guys...Need your respected advice!
Help, guys...Need your respected advice!
I still am the owner of a Boxster S...I've been painfully trying to wait until the 997s come out to make my move however last week I started searching for a used 911 for a guy at work. So you know what happens next....once I find one for him, I start looking for myself...first just for fun...but then I realize how many great low mileage cars there are out there. I come across a 2003 C4S with 7500 miles..check out the link...

I put in a bid and then realize there is no reserve! Assuming there is a reasonable chance I could end up with this car, I emailed the guy with some questions...I know this isn't the best way to do things (ie, emailing after). He hasn't responded. Now I'm getting nervous. I re-emailed him this morning. What do you guys think of this car....I'm also wondering if the owner is a member of this board. He's from Palo Alto.
Thanks,
Renee

i don't think you have much to worry about. i know people who purchased p-cars from ebay without any problems. i know people selling cars without a reserve usually bids on their own cars to get the reserve amount that they want. there are some crooks out there that require you to send a deposit through e-escrow or western union. beware of those claiming that they are in a different country. if you win just fly over to where the car is and inspect. good luck
