My dealer didn't even know about it first, and when I told them they researched it. They said very few of the 2003 cars were affected, and my car was not one of them.

I got one yesterday ! I will call the Service Advisor to see when I should bring the car in.
Do you think I can request the seats with "Porsche Crest on Headrest" and pay the extra instead of replacing the same seats as my original?
Any suggestion?

Quicksilver, the dealer told me that Porsche had already built the seats according to the original specifications and VINs.

I wanted crushed red velvet with yellow piping....

Ormond,
You are right. I just went to the dealer, and they told me all the seats have been built per VINs. Unless I want to re-order the seat covers($1400), there is no way I can make any change.....

What type of seats do you have in your 03 cab? I have a 03 cab with standard sets. I haven't received a recall notice, yet.

Same Q as above but to all those who got notices in the mail: DO YOU HAVE REGULAR OR SPORT SEATS?

I think all regular seats(does not matter what model of your car) are recalled. Not 100% sure, though.
