Time to finalize options - advice please

After driving my dealer crazy making changes to my order over the last three or four months, this is where I am. Just received a call from him to let me know it is time to make any final changes to my order before it gets locked by Porsche. I am sure he has been greatly anticipating the day when the order is locked and I won't be calling him to say "What do you think about.........."

The car will be GT Silver with Cocoa Interior.

The order is presently:
450 PCCB's
220 Rear Axle Differential Lock
840 Sport Chrono
XCZ Sport Shifter
P01 Adaptive Sports Seats
342 Heated Seats
XXZ Foot Rest Aluminum
CUV Storage Compartant w/Model Loge
XSC Porsche Crest in Headrest
XPA Thicker 3 Spoke Steering Wheel
XSH Seat Belts - Silver
DAW Gear Lever/Handbrake Special
XAJ Rocker Panels Painted
CNG Lower Part of Rear Apron Painted
CNE Spoiler Lip Painted
XNG Leather Instrument Surround
XZD Leather Dome Lamp Cover
XMP Leather Sun Visors Lighted
XMZ Leather Rear Center Console
XNS Leather Covered Steering Cloumn
CVW Leather Rear View Mirror
CUR Leather PCM Package
CUJ Leather Fuse Box Trim
CJJ Carbon Belt Outlet B Pillar
XTL Carbon Fiber Door Finishers
EAD Carbon Switch Panel
CXD Carbon Door Entry Guards Illuminated
24891 Deviating Stitching of Front & Rear Seats - Silver
24901 Deviating Stitching on Dashboard - Silver
24902 Deviating Stitching on Doors - Silver
24904 Deviating stitching on Rear Center Console - Silver
24905 Deviating Stitching on Rear Side Panel - Silver
09991 Deviating Stitching on All Exclusie Options - Silver
810 Floor Mats
XSA Sport Seat Backs Painted Exterior Color

Now starts my dilemna:

I really want to order XTG Leather inner sill but am afraid my size 13 shoes & valet parkers will destroy it.

Should I stick with the Leather Console with the deviating stitching:
or change it to:

XMJ Carbon Rear Console
or
XME Center Console Painted Exterior Color (will lighten the interior)

Any input on these or any other options would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

msindi is infamous around these parts
id change all carbon to alu look (or exterior paint)....Not sure the carbon and cocoa are the best match
Otherwise sounds like exactly how I would order (down to fuse box cover in leather LOL)
Go for the leather inner sills...They are sturdy

I agree with msindi that carbon may look a little awkward with cocoa, IMHO. Although I love the GT silver/cocoa combo, if you're set on getting carbon, you may want to consider switching to natural gray, black, or sea blue for an interior color with carbon.

Otherwise, the Alu-look would be hot with cocoa. Also, the center console painted is a great option (I love it with my cobalt blue turbo) especially with the painted seat backs.

Another thing to keep in mind, the silver deviated stitching may be difficult to keep clean...but, it'll look amazing.

Don't forget the CDZ option that Atomic80 pointed out...it was too late to change my order.

Also, I was a bit apprehensive about the DAJ (exterior package painted), but I think it looks great now that I have it. If you want to keep a black "grill" for contrast, order it as you have it. But, I think the "grill" painted GT silver would be pretty cool. If so, order DAJ AND XAJ.

Regardless...awesome build and CONGRATULATIONS!

Think thoroughly and go for either the Aluminium rear centre console or in GT silver, perhaps the leather centre console. Those are the best for the brown interior, carbon is expensive and really isnt worth it in a darker interior.

Thanks msindi - I thought that about the Cocoa with carbon until I saw these pictures.

There was a better picture in the Porsche Exclusive Brouchure that started my thinking about that combination. I am going to go for the leather sills also.

Thanks for the comments. The DAW option for 2008 includes last years DAD & CDZ with the deviating stitching. Porsche actually made getting both these options with deviating stitching easier.

I really like the suble contrast of the carbon & cocoa.

I wanted to order Cobalt but my wife says we live in a small conservative town in Western Pa. and the Turbe itself is flashy enough without attracting more attention with the Cobalt Blue. After thirty years of marrage, I go with the PAAP theory of marrage - "Piece At Any Price"

Here's our handiword - GT Silver rear console on Cocoa, after the fact: we send you the console, you swap and return your old non leather one, half the price of the factory option:

My only concern would be all that stitching is gonna look like crap if you let it get even a little dirty.

Love your color combo, really sweet.

I would pass on the alum foot rest for $125 (!?) I got it but wish I hadn't. In retrospect, I would have been better off using that $125 against the cost of a nice set of pedals with matching foot rest. AWE Tuning has a nice looking, very high quality set up.

Your car is gonna be a killer,

Sounds like you've spec'd a great looking car. I couldn't resist the leather sills either. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

I agree with Msindi and others and would not do CF and Cocoa. I have the same combo as you're ordering on my TT Cab and have several painted options including the PCM, rear center console, door finishers, belt outlet, gear lever trim and Y trim on the s/w. I think the GT Silver paint lightens the interior up nicely. If your bent on CF, go all CF, not just a few pieces.

I would get the leather sills and agree the aluminum footrest is a waste of money (although it matches the pedals). I ordered mine after the fact from Gert at Carnewal and it's the same piece of crap (plastic) as the stock piece but with fake aluminum (plastic) trim.

I think the silver stitching will look great. I'm thinking of ordering an '09 Cab in the same combo but with sport seats with painted backs and all silver stitching. I also like the front air intakes painted.
