Audi R8 Or 997 Turbo Need Replies....
If I had the opportunity to buy an R8 I would. Lets face, the exclusivity alone makes the car desirable. The market for them should remain strong for some time, whereas you can pick up a 997 Turbo for great prices anywhere, anytime. Don't get me wrong, the 997TT is a phenomenal car, much "faster" than the R8, but there isn't anything unique or special about the car.
If you end up not liking it you'll be able to find 10 buyers for it at whatever you bought it for and you can pick up a 997TT right where you left off. Whats the downside here?
You're obviously already thinking about doing this so the 997TT hasn't wowed you enough to keep from looking elsewhere. Give it a try. Every review i've seen has been nothing but glowing praise.

there's no reason not to get a R8 if you can find one at MSRP. If you are bored with it you can get out without getting hurt. There will be dozens of 997TT's at ridiculously depreciated prices looking for a new home.
The R8 uses the same powertrain as the much cheaper RS4, and provides less space and little added performance. Audi's also have traditionally poor depreciation - not Jaguar bad but nowhere near Porsche good. I'd wait for the V10 version, because the R8 is barely faster than a Cayman S
The R8 can beat a Koenigsegg CCX, Mosler MT900, 599, and F430 around EVO Magazines test track (Bedford Autodrome). The R8 lapped in 1.22.1, which is less than one second slower than an ENZO!
Get your facts straight before you spew random opinions.
