HRE wheel remodel help

Well the tt is going in for some mods (except for the new exterior Tech Art mods which will come later) and while the car will be on the rack for awhile I would like all opinions on what to do with the HRE wheels. I was going to have them re-polished and the interior lip painted at a minimum but then started thinking of different combos.

All black, polished lip black interior lip, all brushed ect. Just not feeling the grey interior lip as you can see from the photos.

Please offer your suggestions and sorry for the crapy photos, TIA

I will be unable to respond for a few hours becouse I am running late and headed for Shark Werks. (Sorry Alex )

Those wheels look terrible on your car! As a fellow 6speeder, I will make the supreme sacrifice and put them on mine to save you from any further embarassment.

J/K, I think they look fine the way they are but all black wheels would pop nicely against your all white car.

Bob.au is infamous around these parts
Smile

If you had red brakes, I would have suggested red centres with black lips, as they would have matched your red tails nicely. But as you don't, how about white centres with black lips?

Either way, I don't think machined/polished lips suit your car, mainly because it's white and there's no chrome on it (on the sides anyway).

Just my $0.02

I would try atlas grey or something along those lines. The black doesn't seem to pop because of the spokes being smaller. I would try a brighter color to make them stand out.

You mean using a lacquer finish? They stopped using that like 30 years ago for a reason.

Lacquer was replaced by polyurethane paints because they shine better and it lasts longer. I use alot of high tech paints in my shop, so Im sure what they use is something Im familiar with.

Should I dare ask what brighter color?

Thanks
