If you must paint it, I'd suggest Krylon. It's cheap, and a can will do several repairs to your lip. But like most here are telling you, just get a spare. These things are expendables.

I bought 2 spares, and damned if I haven't had a scrape since! Go figure.

ALTAADAM007 is infamous around these parts
I was recalling a recent MotorWeek show where they tested a late model 997, and they were showing the front end, and the OEM lip was creased and nicked where it had been bruised. An annoyance for sure, but you are certainly not in an exclusive bunch!

Forget replacing it, as you'll just scrape it again. I've scraped mine lots of times, that's why I kept it the stock black plastic.

I have to agree. I looked really hard at getting a painted or carbon chin spoiler for my 997TT but I knew that I would be scraping it - especially here in Southern California.

Don't fret though. My friends at CEC told me that their Techart customers come in about every 6 months to repaint. Not a big deal.

Scraped up front lip spoiler and even side skirts are inevitable with our fine NY/LI roads. IMHO it doesn't even pay to sand/paint unless they are really trashed. Its just cheaper to replace the front lip. Living where we do I would never ever buy carbon spoilers - might as well just get a standing order for the spoilers. Anyway, this issue is a small price to pay for driving our TTs.
