Hi Guys,

My Salesguy quoted me these lease prices for a 08' turbo MSRP 147K ordered car. with 750+ fico score

$15k down $2300/month taxes included 36 months 10k miles/year
$15k down $2000/month taxes included 60 months 10k miles/year

I live in L.A. Should I tell him to go off himself or should I try to negotiate a better lease. What would be a good rate based on the 147K msrp.

Thanks,

George

I think that's about right at that msrp. What mf are they giving you, it's PFS I assume. I always got great deals with them.

I'm not familiar with lease terms, but isn't there a residual value at the end of the lease? Or are you just looking to "rent" the car for the lease term? Around $90/day for 3 years seems a bit steep to me, especially when your limited to 10K miles/year. What would the extra mileage charge be?

The MSRP of $147K would indicate a reasonably well optioned car, so a $15K "get in" seems fair enough as you'd probably lose that much if you were to buy it and drive it off the lot.

It's only money........enjoy it!

I don't think thats a fair price for leasing in CA, I would do finance instead of leasing, in the end you own the car!

I agree with toffeGT2, purchase and finance. You can do it for less cash out than the lease terms you mentioned and you can drive as much as you want and sell the car anytime you want.

2000 x 60 =120k + 15k= 130k to borrow the car. doesnt sound like a deal unless money is no object or you get to write off the lease on your taxes

We don't do leases. Pay cash. Like to own and ability to mod, sell, trade, whatever and whenever we want. I keep thinking each car will be "the one" I will hold onto, but then a year or two later (sometimes I don't even make it a year), I want another! Have a MY08 997TT getting built in February. Can't wait!!!!! It's only money - enjoy life!
