Sport Mode question?? Please

As you all know I just got my TT Cab and was wondering

1. Do you mostly drive with the sport button on or off ??

2.Do you mostly leave both the sport button and sport suspension on ??
As I see you can chose to disactivate the sport suspension,, by deselecting the suspension does this in any way effect performance besides just the handling aspect??

Input really appreciated........thx

I usually keep suspension off (your back will thank you) ... it does not affect performance.

i like to keep the sport ON and put the suspension to normal. mostly because i hate it when the tiptonic start in 2nd gear. if the sport is on, it starts in 1st.

What??? So if you select "Normal" mode the Tiptronic starts out in 2nd??? WTF?

I usually keep it on Normal mode.

I do feel a differnce when I drive with SPORT mode on. The throttle is much more snappy & get more boost of course.

But I never Stiffen the suspension...Unless you want your back to hurt like a ****.

mine only starts in 1st when the motor is cold OR if i turn on the the sport mode. other than that i have to floor it for it to downshift to 1st or use the manual switch on the steering wheel.

They probably programmed the tranny to start out in 2nd becuase the 1st gear is way to short. And gives a smoother ride.

I know the my dads SL 500 starts out in 2nd only when it is in Winter Mode.

What's this about stiff backs? Try driving any 964 or earlier 911s, or the new GT3, or a cup car, and the suspension is much stiffer than SPASM on.

my daily procedure after starting the car: sport mode on (just in case) and PASM back to normal, PASM Sport Mode is useless on the street in my eyes and iīm even faster on the track with PASM in normal. So i really couldnīt figure out what this stiff sport mode is good for??????

On the other hand, the overboost from the SC in sport mode is explicitly - for me itīs the difference between WOW and HOLY SH**
