Which company to use to mod my 997 turbo?

I have a white 997 turbo with an awe-tuning exhaust and I am in the evaluation mode on which tuner to use to take my car to the next level? I would like some unbiased advice on which tuner to use because I want to send my car to the tuner and let the tuner put on the mods.

Ruf

I have always thought Ruf was way overpriced and I wanted some advice on non-Ruf tuners. I realize Ruf is the safe bet but there is not enough of a power gain for me to want to use them.

If you already have an AWE exhaust, I'd have Mike and Todd do their little magic and add the GIAC flash for 93 octane (race fuel if you can get your hands on it.) It won't be long until they have VTG headers and modified turbos to match.

As for the best tuner? It's a matter of opinion. Stephen from Imagine Autos, Todd/Mike from AWE, Nate and the guys from EVOMS...all highly respected. What are you looking for in your car? Do you care about a warranty? Ruf is the only tuner that offers a warranty on a conversion...and it's only for 1 year.

You need to tell us more.

I was looking to get the most power without touching the internals of the motor, intercooler, new turbos, headers and computer tune. I was going to wait and see what the kits look like with the modified variable valve turbo.

There is no variable valve turbo. It's a variable turbine.

Well...if you've done the exhaust, and don't wan't to touch the turbos, headers, or ECU...you've pretty much maxed out your tune...unless you do some major weight reduction.

I want to touch the turbos etc but I do not want to touch the internals of the motor. Thank you for the correction.

You ask for an opinion you'll get some bias. You're in Texas, go see the guys at Ruf at least to just talk to them, you don't have to buy, Someone already suggested Imagine Auto in Kansas - they have a great rep too.
