997 to Lambo to 997TT
997 to Lambo to 997TT
Traded a black 997 in for an 05 Giallo Midas Gallardo last summer. Liked the Porsche, but fell for the sound and looks of the Gallardo. It was a real head turner , clear engine bonnet with that amazing engine sound. The only problem is I needed a car that I could use more often. So after some sad goodbyes and a short ownership; I traded it in for a wait on an 09 Red 997TT. I decided to wait for the 09 version with DFI, but seeing all the 997TT beauties here the wait is tough. Thankfully the frigid weather here in N.Y. makes the wait a bit easier.
I have ordered the following:
09 Red Turbo, stick, black leather, red stitching througout, red seat belts, red belt outlets, carbon steering wheel, basic carbon package and red center console, painted spoiler, rocker panels and rear apron, Sports crono, rear axle lock
I'm new to the board and I am enjoying the pictures and mods that others have done. So keep'm coming

The new engine with DFI will not be as durable as the current engine and probably would not hold up too well against big horsepower mods. There's a huge discussion about that going on Rennteam on that same issue. The GT1 engine is probably the best you're going to get. But if you plan to leave your DFI engine stock then that won't be an issue. Of course no one knows for sure if this is the case. I know that I wouldn't want to go with a brand new engine technology until after they've been proven.

I am ordering the 09 from Legend Porshe in Long Island. It's still early to submit the order to Porsche, but I have their first build.

Yes it was. However the Lambo as well as most other exotic cars loose value quite quickly when you put some miles on them. A fun car all around. However, for me, it's nice to be able to just get in your car and drive without all the added attention.
DFI on a V8 vs DFI on a flat-6 are two different things. Should be good as long as you don't plan on making BIG horsepower gains.
