HRE 19" wheel widths?

Hello,

For those of you w/ 19" aftermarket wheels... can you tell me which width you went with? Either 8.5 or 9 in the front and either 11 or 11.5 in the rear?

I'm looking at picking up a set of HRE's and it appears they have a few different setups in 19" fitments for the 997TT.

Thanks.

Sean

well you can easily go either way you want ...but 19" your still going to run same OEM tires sizes 235/35/19 and 305/30/19 ..now if you want 20" you can run 245/30/20 fronts and 325/25/20 ...thats will be 20x9 20x12 or 20x12.5 ..its mostly preference ..going wider isn't going to alter lips sizes ..so its just what look your going for tires wise ..stretched or squared off ..if you like give me a call we can speak furtherer about it ..toll free 1-866-51wheel x2101 Ben

Thanks for the reply Ben.

So, if i wanted to use the OEM tires... i can still go w/ either 8.5/9 and 11/11.5? Would i be able to use wider tires?

Also, Im assuming w/ the aftermarket wheels (and oem tires), i would no longer need spacers?

Thanks.

HRE makes wheels to fit perfect without spacers needed.

Hmm... how is it that 19" HRE wheels (assuming i go w/ 19x8.5 and 19x11) would oem tires, would be wider then oem wheels (to be flush w/ the fender without the use of spacers)?

If you plan to use the factory tires (assuming they are 235/35-19 and 305/30-19) your best bet would be to use the factory widths: 8.5 & 11. You can always go wider, but there are no tires to properly fit the wheels at that point. The wheel will also be heavier if you make it wider.

The offset is tailored specific to the application to get the flush fit.
