You seem to be telling me that the US dealers post stickers that exclude tax. That's different to the UK. The price on the car is the price you pay here. I have a clue about the gtr and I am from state side, yes I do some know some people with R32 R33 R34 state titled. Rode and Drove all of them. Yet to ride or drive the Newest GTR. R32 is my personal favorite. But if I had my choices It would be R31 GTS-R. I just love that car.

I feel for you. I use to feel the same way you did..Jealous. As I use to be a kid without a license with the dream of owning the cars I had hanging on my walls. Then I grew up. Got a License. Owned a good size company, and now play with the toys i had on my walls.

Yes, it is true I am not a man of great words. But i am a man of great knowledge. Truth is there is NO ONE ON THIS BOARD. with the knowledge like i have on the GTR..

The truth is this.. I would take the Turbo over the new GTR for many reasons.

1. Turbo can come in stick.. (argue all you want.. STICK RULES.. unless you got 1khp and a dogbox.)

2. Traction. (The Drive.. the new GT-R does feel heavy. It doesnt pull out of the turn like the turbo does.)

3. Interior (I swear i hated the new 997 vs 996 interior. But the GTR Interior is far from anything to rave about.)

4. Style (HANDS DOWN... Turbo smacks the look of the new GTR)

Other than that... i shall be owning both very soon..

The new GT-R transmission was derived from BUGATTI.. A PORSCHE OWNED company.

Futhermore.. Lets see who NISSAN aimed for their target.. Out of the dozen or so supercars.. They had choose to target the Porsche Turbo.. As around the world the Porsche Turbo is seen as a monumental feat of technology.

Lets furthermore think about the comparison between the 996 vs R34 GTR.. Every record the R34 held.. WAS BROKEN BY A 996 TURBO.. GOSH GO FIGURE THAT..

At the end of they day you buy what makes you happy.. Me nor anyone else on this board will make a full influence on ones car purchase. We can contribute to their questions and give them opinions. But its up to you to spend the money and make the choice.
