Here is what you wrote; draw your own conclusion. I don't see any reference to DA conditions in this post and I don't know what the DA was that day. To me, it looks like an allegation of tampering. Yes the conditions were perfect, but that does not diminish the accomplishment. There are a lot of stock Z06 owners that couldn't run a 10.98 regardless of conditions.

 

Here are a few video races against two different C6 2006 ZO6s done this past Friday against my 2007 997 TT modded by Protomotive:

1st Run against ZO6 with Headers, Cam, Air Intake, Ported Air Intake Manifold and Throttle Body, Tune, and Drag Radials.

2nd Run against a ZO6 with same mods less the cams BUT with a 200 shot of NOS. 9 second car in the 1/4. I was like...how much Nitrous are you running????? LOL - Ok whatever.....well run this one for the hell of it.

I'll be shooting a video against a completely stock ZO6 just to give everyone a benchmark as to how the cars compare.

 

A modded 997TT vs a bone stock Z06 that would get beaten pretty badly. You are 700 at the wheels right? Sounds kinda useless to find a stock one.

 

From my experience in car racing, I've driven a few different setups for the 996/997 turbos and c5 z06 Supercharged and C6 Z06 modified. My 07 Z06 has a 585 whp setup with heads/cams/headers/exhaust and intake. I've raced two of my clients one in a 997TT with APR Ecu flash, APR headers, IPD Plenum, Techart exhaust & the other is an EVOMS 700 996 package with upgraded turbos running race fuel in this second car. These two cars ran side by side from a rolling start from 30 mph on. The 996 had a one car lenght advantage on the 997. Before my final tune in the C6 Z06, where I was running the 585whp, the 996 with the EvoMS 700 package and myself hit the highway. We started in a 2nd gear roll, by the top of 4th gear, my Z06 had pulled 15+ car lenghts. Sounds a little much, but it was the true outcome. My same client/friend now has a 997 sitting at protomotive going for the 800hp race fuel setup(700whp). We'll try to get some videos of that race once he receives the car! Cheers!

 

Thanks for the vids, your car is nuts!!! We're doing a similar setup on mine plus nitrous & methanol injection...I ran a couple more Z06's this weekend at a video shoot we were filming and my Turbo kept up alot better this time, even pulled on a few runs, the original guy must have sprayed me or something because it was nothing like the two from this weekend that were stock.
