Just out of curiosity, of those opining on springs vs coilovers, how many of you use the car on the track for DE or the like versus simply around town?

I don't track my Turbo but I do hit a lot of twisties on the back roads so it's important to me that I have a car that handles those roads with aplomb. I also want good streetability for city driving as well. BTW, I have Damptronic coilovers, H&R sways and Tarett droplinks in mine. Very compliant in both normal and sport modes.

I track my Turbo about once a month or so, depending on my schedule, been tracking Porsches for the last 8-9 years. I run in the advanced solo run group, so it gets a pretty good workout. I think the car could probably benefit from a little lowering and neg camber on the track. For the street "twisties" it would be plus/minus depending on your driving style. I drive my car pretty sedate on the street so my upgrade would be geared towards track weekends.
BTW let me compliment your good taste on your Turbo color combo .

Thanks much - and appreciate the useful info re DE events. I had been using my B6S4 for about 6 events annually. Going to LRP and VIR next month with the 997TT and am very interested to see what it's like. I had been running advanced solo also (but was generally the slow guy!). Will report back...frankly, I suspect it will be a ball without a ton of mods. I'm not chasing a lap time just want to have fun.

You'll love the TT at the track. The power is intoxicating! The car is fully track worthy right out of the box, small things like an exhaust ( for sound) and maybe some lowering springs will enhance the experience.
