Assuming you replace OEM wheels with new wheels of appoximately the same weight just the bigger rubber alone will increase your unspring weight by about 25%.

For sure performance would definitely lose out.. However my biggest concern is whether would there be any handling issues and what ought to be done (proper alignment specs, swaybars, stock/aftermarket springs/coilovers etc..) to ensure an optimum drivability.. Thanks guys.. I need more inputs..

I just had 20" HRE 890r's mounted on my TT but also had the Techart Coilovers done. I love the look of the 20s and the ride is better then stock. Alot less twitchy Im sure due to the coilovers. To each his own but I would not do anything other then 20's. The look vs the sacrifice of ride( none noticed) well worth it.

I would suggest WAITING til you can afford coilovers. Don't get springs...

CWtwin, Atomic, thanks for the inputs.. So, 20" + coilovers = better ride than stock. btw CWtwin, did u do an alignment setup or simply wheel balancing? Mine a HRE P43 texturized black on a white TT. Can't wait to dress her up.

Anyone out there with 20" running on lowered springs or stock setup?? Pls feed me some infos.. Thanks guys!

I'd recommend alignment + corner balancing with any suspension changes. Also, if you absolutely have to go with springs (which will wear out your shocks faster) then go with the ones from GMG instead.

I've gone through coilovers with everyone of my cars. The comfort is not enhanced but the handling characteristics of the car has greatly improved especially running 20"s with an ultra low profile tire. In Singapore you have better roads there and I presume you will cruising Orchard Road and so you won't have much to worry about. The major ***** will be going up public car parks like Isetan's and the large speed bump when you roll up to Zouk

Thanks Atomic. Personally, I dislike the current stock ride, pasm off, it feels as if it's floating esp on undulating roads.. Pasm on, it feels thumpy.. Ive used PSS9 on my previous ride and it felt so good.. Reason why i couldnt opt for coilover now is because of warranty issues, i was told that PSS10 might void the warranty even though its PASM compatible... how strange.

Wantone.. Sounds like you've been in Singapore for a while.. you should know that Singapore is a "HUMPs-ful" city.. My front split got scraped while getting out of Takashimaya. So.. im wondering how much lower could i go if i were to lower my springs..

Is that what your dealership told you? Coilovers would void your warranty? Well, over here, it only voids coverage on the suspension components that you swap out. Everything else stays the same. The other nice thing about coilovers as you should know is that its height adjustable.

Atomic, yup.. they simply said "at your own risks"..

Im amazed by how many of the members here performed mods (headers, exhaust, chips, etc..) once they got hold of their turbos... seems like warranty isn't an issue over there.. Btw, a turbo costs over USD400K over here.. that explains why warranty is important i guess..

depends on brand of tire you select as my 20" michellin ps2 are actually 3 to 4 lbs lighter than the factory 19 " bridgestones.i have h&R springs with 20" wheels that are 3.5 lbs lighter per corner in the rear yet 1 lb. per corner heavier in the front.i have no issues with the ride other than when the steering wheel is cranked all the way to either side i hear the springs clank which for some reason does not happen with the factory wheels and the 20" wheels are not rubbing anywhere as i have checked the fenderwell and surrounding area.

rbc997t, did you lower the springs? And did you go for any alignment setup, corner balancing or wheel balancing? Thanks for the input.. Appreciate it.
