Bad review
After coming from American Sport Car convertibles, firebird, vette and camaros I was very happy with the way the 996 911 Cab handled, it was amazing how rigid the Porsche was compared to the others.
They probably make the best convertibles in the business.

Well I was so close to putting in an order for cab when I read this review

I am particularly concerned about the comments on the body rigidity/squeaks and rattles.

Many purists do not like cabs
Buying a car is a compromise. There is no perfect car out there. If you want a dedicated sports car, then buy a coupe. If you want a great looking car, lots of versatility, the ability to drop the top, and are wiling to live with the few minor drawbacks of a cabriolet, then get the car. The downside is minor and the upside is huge. And this is coming from a coupe guy (me).
Take the reviews with a grain of salt. The writers usually follow the same format: give a little background, kiss up to the manufacturer, and find a couple of trivial "flaws." Sprinkle in a little factually incorrect information and you have your article. If is a comparison, then just add a few paragraphs about this one barely beats that in on one category and that one beats this one in the other category and either flip a coin to pick the winner or just pick the manufacturer who paid your tab for the trip.

Many of you said you don't have creaks and rattle with porsche cabs
.....I had a 996tt cab and it constantly squeaked, rattled etc...Everyone i know who has had a porsche cab has said the same thing....Now its par for the coarse with convertibles, but believe me it def squeaks and rattles WAY more than coupe

To the OP: A review [from any auto-mag or anybody for the matter] is not going to sway my opinion much if at all. Case in point, many sources fail to adequately describe the horrendously boring experience I feel in any current BMW product (sans the Z4 line). It's your money, you should drive the car extensively and read into posts of owners who have had the car in their possession for a while, rather than bank on reviews.
