Pls Help.. Bilstein Pss9/10 with PASM

Hi Guys,

Am a lil confused here regarding this coilovers. There are 2 things i'd like to ask;

1) The term PASM compatible means that the pasm and sports mode are still functioning the same as before?

or

2) It simply means there wont be a PASM fault check light. And that the sports/pasm mode function is therefore redundant.

Thanks guys..

Number 1.

The Bilstein units function just like the OEM PASM shocks. The button on the dash still does the same thing and there are no error lights or fault codes.

Porsche contracted Bilstein to do the PASM shocks. Nobody has a more intimate knowledge of the system.

Most of the members of this forum have bought there Damptronic Bilsteins from me. I am sure others will chime in on how well they work. They are a great setup for street use combined with some weekend track days.

Hope this helps.

Email me if you would like more info.

I'd like to also add that Ruf, TechArt, SpeedArt, as well as many other tuners, use Bilstein coilovers with slight modifications to OEM their suspension systems. SpeedArt also offers a system OEM'd by KW, although it is not PASM compatible, and you need PIWIS to turn off the error code.

I used to have PSS9 on a bmw where i had to manually set the suspension settings, for eg, 2 in front and 4 at the rear, or any numbers to my liking. So with B16, am i right to say it's different in which the damper does not require any forms of setup and works just like the OEM PASM shocks where i could drive at comfortable mode and aggressive mode once the sports button is activated? Thanks.
