Something is clearly wrong as I can get to 1.2 bar simply by pushing the pedal to the floor in any high gear. Now -- keeping it there is another thing as I treasure my drivers license! I do have some mods, but it worked the same way stock.

I have only seen 1.1 over 150mph going from 4th to 5th(I think bin a while ago), so whoever said high gearing max boost is on to something. Never 1.2

Here is the a clip of the turbo showing 1.2 bar in 6th gear from 3000-5000 rpm in overboost. Notice the Arrow.

i checked my car yesterday and i can get 1.1 in second gear (Tip) but it drops to 0.7 at redline. that was in sport mode and the 1.1 is in the 3000-5000 range. I have a FS exhaust Ver.3.

there is one more thing you can try, launch the car easy and then put it in 3rd gear (arround 30 kph) and floor it. that might put enough load on the car.

i only saw 1.2 bar in my tip in six gear at high speeds! but with the ecu flash i started seeing 1.1-1.2 all the time but it goes down to .9 in the higher rpms.

do you think theres something with the fuel ? i bought my car used and the previous owner didnt drive it hard and used the cheaper gas and i only saw .7-.8 with sport mode then i changed to 98oct and drove it hard for a while and started to see more boost by the day til i saw the 1.2 in six gear on highspeeds so try to check your fuel and your air filter cuz it might be blocked and reset the car by removing the battery for an hour or so and good luck

did you ever consider that your exhaust work has caused less backpressure to spool up the turbos?

I have been arguing about this problem with my dealership till i got fed up and just am not bothered anymore ... they acknowledge that there is missing boost however they dont seem to know what the problem is ... they reset my ecu and it didnt seem to work.

However a friend of mine has a TT with fabspeed exhuast, intake and an ecu reflash, and he is getting constant 1.2bar boost all the way. He attributes this to the ECU work hes done, however i have been cautious and im going to wait a while and see how it goes on with his car after a period of use, before installing anything like that on my car.

I have a Tubi on mine and have not seen an issue with boost. After flashing the ECU, i can hit 17 psi depending on the gear and rpm.

Ok.. perhaps i should have said "poor exhaust installation and/or design". Do your exhaust/cats/headers all match up (same manufacturer?) Have you tried putting back a completely stock system on?

You guys realize that the boost meter on the dash is incredibly inaccurate, right? Everything is likely working normally...

OK Guys,
Have been having a play today with particular attention to the boost gauge. Here are my observations. This was done with sport mode on.If i plant the throttle in 2nd gear around 2000rpm, and hold it to the floor through 3rd and into 4th, i dont see the overboost arrow, and see around 1 bar.If i am in say 4th gear at around 2500 rpm, then nail the throttle, i do see the overboost arrow, and have seen 1.1 bar. This might have shown 1.2 bar, but i stopped looking at the gauge at this point. This says to me, that the overboost function seems to work in the higher gears, when full throttle and load are called for.I thought i would see the little arrow as soon as i had full throttle in any gear?., Regards, SIMON.

I always assumed that the arrow was some sort of an up-shift indicator. It only appears in my car when it is in sport mode but only when I am going slower in a higher gear. If I get on the car in second or 3rd gear, I do not get the indicator.
