boost in sport mode

well guys, my car is one of the launch edition 997tts (manual), so i've owned it now for around year and half and i have never seen anything above 1.0 boost! i've had fabspeed straight pipes with imported sport cats and now i'm running a techart exhaust and nothing changed! the car is quick and i have beaten all 997tts i raced so far and some modded c6 modded M5s different cars...so! is there a technical problem with the car? is it the weather/alttitude? anyone else suffering from the same issue?

same problems here ... apparently u can only hit the 1.2 at high gears ... i dunno what the point of the sport mode is if it only gives u the added boost when u have a high gear engaged and are going at a low speed ... if ur lucky u would hit 1.1 for a sec or two when u reach around 200 km/h on full throttle

I don't measure my boost .
Yet you are not the first to post about this and I do wonder if my modded and ECU flashed car will boost higher .

Did you decide ro measure the boost after feeling lag ? Have you flashed the ECU ?

I never measured my boost but cuz of all the comments on the forum about reaching 1.2 or so on a bone stock 997tt i was wondering why my car wouldn't do the same even though i have an aftermarket exhaust.

I'm actually planning to flash the ecu but i'm a little worried about future mechanical problems such as engine blowing out or so and the dealership in Qatar is not very keen on supporting loyal porsche owners if they modd their cars! dude they try to make money out of stuff that are covered by the warranty

My guess is that the boost is regulated by the software and that even if the car could accept more boost it would have to be programmed . That's why i asked about the ECU.
Now since I haven't measured my boost and my car isn't stock I would not know. Another question that I don't know is whether or not the spec on the 997tt is the same for every country across the world .

Werks1 Intake . Evo headers. Evo Intercoolers, Tubi Exhaust . IBD Plenum , GIAC Flash .

I have just had a quick chat with the sales manager. He said that i should'nt be seeing anything above 1.0 in sport mode and .8 in normal mode. there is an exception that is if the weather is extremly cold i might see 1.1.

Too much --lol
But worth it .
My exhaust is Tubi though . Keep in mind I also did suspension , interior, full Techart kit , it all adds up over time .

I have chosen not to share the prices out of courtesy to the many tuners and site sponsors who post on the forum. I don't feel comfortable disclosing what I paid for that reason even via PM. I may have paid more . I may have paid less --than some others . It doesn't matter to me because I am happy with the result .

I did a lot of work to my car . I did not expect it to be cheap .
