Fabspeed exhaust question
Same thing here! I'm very happy with the sound and overall with the Fabspeed product.
The misalignment was according to friend more in my head than others so I let it go as it is and not to worry about it any more.
Now let's have a competition about who's tips are most misaligned, here's my shot:

Here's mine. Actually this was taken when the system was first put on and I didn't like it because the right tip was more "crooked" then the left. Since being adjusted they are equally crooked LOL!!
I would put up a picture but after another hour I gave up and went to the local muffler shop and fixed the stripped nut on my oem tips and put them back on. Anyone interested in "used" fabspeed chrome tips. By the way the sound is sweeeet.
I think about doing the same.....
Maybe it´s time for the boardsponsor Fabspeed to give us some words....
The alignment is perfect. The only thing I had to do was modify where the clamp closes together. I had to trim a little bit of the "ears" on the bolt side due to the clamps would not close tight enough on the exhaust pipe. But after a little trim job they closed down tight and look perfect.
Mine looks exactly the same as the above. They may not be perfect, but I'd rather have these than the stock ones. The only people that has noticed they are not equal is me. I've only gotten compliments otherwise!
Yeah, I didn't post to complain about it - it doesn't bother me at all. Was just pointing out that mine are not straight, similiar to others.
When I had the quad tips, I messed with them for hours, finally lined up great, but ended up putting the stockers back on in the end. I think the quad tips(any) look borderline ricey on a turbo due to the size and shape of the factory opening, jmo, some guys love 'em.

Kind of thought the same thing since I was at the dealer yesterday and was looking at the tips on a targa and they were the quads and my salesman said the opening on the TT is tear drop why would you want ovals in the tear drop opening just doesn't look quite as good. My $.02.
I didn't like the way these round/oval tips looked either. My shop had to "twiddle" around a bit with the cargraphic tips to make them look right but from the sounds of things, it didn't take the technician anywhere nearly as long as some of you guys fiddling around with the Fabspeed tips.
In the end, I went back to stock too.

The stock tips were extremely loose on my fabspeed. I had to get them spot welded to stay in place. The stock clamps didn't close tight enough and the tips would rotate upon driving. Now its fine but for the price for one of these exhaust systems everything should be perfect. I also find it semi-insulting to ask $800+ for tips, imo. The exhaust sounds great though!
