Anyway I guess I'll find out soon.
I have also placed an order back in the end of January. There are many rumors and they are just that, rumors. It will all pan out in the next couple of months. Where did you leave your deposit. PM if needed.

I have a July 10th confirmed pick-up date at the factoryfor a turbo cab, that should be quite enjoyable to drive around France and Germany this summer

However, the 11 week wait is already killing me...

@nyamg - There will be a 09 Turbo.
The changes are expected to be as follows:
- center console + PCM upgraded
- "big ear" wing mirrors
- rear lights
- big price hike!

No changes to the engine or power output.
No PDK yet.

No mechanical differences for turbo till 2010

I think the price hike piece of this is right on the money and it may be a real shocker.

Be sure that the terms of your deposit includes a clause allowing you a full refund if you change your mind or something else changes. And if nothing is in writing, insist that it be or get your money back in a hurry.

Good luck. I hope it all works out for you.
A bit strange? You must be joking. Would it be less strange to wait until the next GT3 is announced and THEN call your dealer to put a deposit down? In a couple years I'll be the strange guy with a new GT3 that I bot at MSRP. The normal people will be the ones trying to decide how much over they're willing to pay, if they can find a car to buy.

No. I'll be the happy guy enjoying his 997TT while you sit around waiting for the right deal. Then when I want your GT3, I'll buy it while you're playing nickle-dick with the salesman.

I already have a TT (lucky--and happy-- me) that I enjoy thoroughly. But the eventual deal is for MSRP, so no nickle-dick for me. I really like the 997 so much that I might even consider giving my spot to someone who would sell me theirs at that time for a really great price. It's fun to contemplate, but I'll figure out how to slice my pie after it comes out of the oven.

+1 The Porsche dealer where I placed my order for an 09 911 Turbo has confirmed that Porsche has invited a representitive from most every dealership to a meeting this June in Spain . This meeting will discuss all of the changes scheduled and the status of the 911 turbo as well.. So unfortunately everything we hear before then will only be a rumor.
