Placed Deposit For 09 TURBO
After searching for a while to find the right used Turbo, I finally decided to just order a new one. I just got home from the dealer after placing a deposit on the first 2009 Turbo allocation the dealer gets. They have no time frame on it yet but they told me they should know within the next two weeks.
I'm so excited even though I know I have a long way to go before I can even spec my car. The wait is already killing me and its only been an hour

With all due respect, paying deposits on cars that haven't been announced and that you can't even spec yet seems a bit strange. The dealer gets your money while all you get is a promise for "information" in two weeks. Nice for the dealer . . . Not so much for you. Be sure that the terms of your deposit includes a clause allowing you a full refund if you change your mind or something else changes. And if nothing is in writing, insist that it be or get your money back in a hurry.

I actually did get "Fully Refundable" in writing.
They did tell me 2 weeks, if they lied, than so be it. All I do know is I get the first 09 Turbo spot that they get.

No, it is just good information to fellow Porsche people. I do not care one way or another. It is just a fact. I was at my AD with the Porsche rep. 2010 is the next turbo.

I have heard it from the dealer also, but you know how shakey that data is. No turbo for 09, 2010 Turbo gets a new rear bumper, LED tailights, new headlights and freshened up interior bits, 500hp - Not direct injected.
