Formula 1 Spain Qualifying

Wow. Fernando Alonso just getting nipped by Kimi for the pole!!! I had a feeling that Alonso would step up in Spain - his home GP. I was suprised that Hamilton got pushed to 5th. The pressure may be getting to him.

How about Super Aguri collapsing mid-season!?

Exciting stuff. Here is my podium prediction:

1. Kimi
2. Hamilton
3. Alonso

I hear you. But what about fuel loads? Massa was consistently fast through Q2 and Q3 but Kubica came on like gang busters in Q3. I think he is running light on fuel - as is Alonso. I think Hamilton was heavy on fuel and will have a better pit strategy. The times were so close at the top. Fuel loads will play a huge roll in who gets out in front early and who stays there.

I agree with you on Kimi. He is simply due for a win and willed himself into the pole position even though I think Alonso was running on fumes. I don't think he can be beaten this weekend.

Massa is not light, he made mistake on 3rd sector. As Kovalainen is 6 th, they have both same tactic and have constantly being slower this week... Kubica & BMW looking strong, Q2 showed their speed.

Alonso has a cupful of gasoline, only showing to local fans!!

Therefore, if ALonso is not playing some hero in first corner and pushing Kimi/ Massa out, I will raise my bet to 3 cents or a beer, if You come to Europe to enjoy it!

Agree Alonso very light on fuel...his times have been very close to Piquet all day except for Q3. Piquet i think was 9th. Will be interesting when Hamilton tries to pass Alonso in front of Spanish fans. Also, if it rains, the race belongs to anyone.

Telemetry data proves that your commentary is at least false.

We'll see today how it shakes out. But if Alonso was light, he still got beaten by Kimi who is probably running a 16 lap fuel load. I hope for your sake that isn't so or it will be another long day for the Spainard.

Driving a renault these days is more a job of surviving, no competition for a ferrari. Nevertheless Alonso is a fighter, a fair one by the way. Lets enjoy the race!

Go Go Robert !! It seems that BMW is closer to Ferrari than before. Macks haven't done a step forward to BMW's and Fcars. Renault has better condition. I think they did good job through last 3weeks. Well, let's wait for the race. More is gonna be clear, who is where.

Well, I must say that I did expect Alonso to at least make it to the start of the race without crashing his Renault!

Nice race. Finished as expected.

Now on to Turkey!!!

Yeah. Almost as lovely as this act of supreme sportsmanship by your comrade Alonso:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WYGPbY-8IyE&feature=related

The only way your boy Alonso could cope with his ROOKIE teammate kicking his *** was to slow him down by refusing to leave the pit!

The funniest part is, that stunt cost Alonso the pole (the normally gutless Stewards penalized him knocking him to sixth!) and Hamilton WON THE RACE despite Alonso's cheating shennanigans!!! Bravo Fernando - Bravo!

I am so glad that he didn't even finish at his home GP this past weekend while Lewis made the podium. That must have stung!

"It goes on Judah, the race, it goes on!!"
