Nissan sets new time at the 'Ring with standard GT-R (Official)
Yeah go ahead, wonder what you can say to make Nissan guys pissed off?.....errrr, 911 turbo is faster (Nissan guys laughing)....ummm, 911 turbo has a better badge (Bigger laughs).... ahhhh, 911 costs more so it has to be better (Nissan guys ROFL).... Seriously, I own a 997 turbo and i've just came back from Japan where I drove a friend's R35 GTR and to be honest - the GTR makes the Porsche seem so overpriced and feels so obsolete.
The interior is actually on par with the 997 turbo quality wise and is slightly more luxurious. The driving experience? Very different. Where the Porker is a widow maker, the GTR is just pure control. I can see that the main advantage that the GTR has over the turbo is in its remarkable 4wd system and DSG gearbox. I'm a car enthusiast and i don't buy a car just so that i can pose (can't say the same about most of the members on here). The GTR is not a car for posing, and i'm definitely getting one for track use. Hell, it even makes a better weekender car than the Porker with that big boot!!
As one famous journalist puts it, " Even if the GTR and 997 turbo were the same price, the GTR is still THE BETTER car". Source, CAR magazine Australia.

It's not hard to figure out why Porsche owners who post here are sick of people (like quoted) who join just to post b.s. and rile TT owners with magazine articles, and just join to say which "they think" is a better car. Most of which will never own either car and only specialize in arguing on the net. Guys have the nerve to call 911's a POS and ARE STILL POSTING ON A PORSCHE FORUM. The lack of moderation here is sickening sometimes.
The guys that own TT's here have the right to complain if their usually mature and informative section is being overrun by little boys trying to put down their car.
It's not rocket science and if you cant fathom it, just pure ignorance to think that anyone wouldnt be annoyed by it.

No one said that Porshes are a POS. Far from it. IMO, before the R35 GTR arrived, Porshes are the best bang for the buck supercar out there. That's why i bought one. I hate Ferrari's though. Only thing they have going for them are the looks and engine note. POS in terms of reliability and performance for the dollar though.
Acutally Z07 said it, and got banned for like 1 WEEK!!!!!! WTH is going on here!?!?!?!?!?! I'm sure he kissed butt and someone let him back in because he tried to be on his best behavior but his dislike of Porsches is seeping through his words and posts anyways.
Either way, there are 10 -20 new fanboys here to argue everyday and the 997 TT owners are being ridiculed in their own section for STILL having reasons to love the cars they ACTUALLY OWN!!!!
And that is pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

The fact that we have such incredible performing automobiles in this day and age - with geo-politics, attitudes, etc. the way they are - is beyond words. As performance enthusiasts I hope all of our communities: Porsche, GTR, etc... can stop pointing the finger at one another in "anger" long enough to realize the bigger picture: we can all benefit from this if we tone the **** down, and try to make as few "waves" as possible.
If the general public (non-enthusiast) had ANY idea what a ZR-1, GT2, Scuderia, GTR, etc...was capable of in the wrong hands...it's good bye to the good ole' days. It has happened before, and it can happen again.
ZR-1 vs. GTR? GT2 vs. LF-A? Project Lydia vs. Porsche GT1? Imagine these friendly rivalries in good spirits. Now imagine their successors.

Build them. And we will come.

HEAVYCHEVY
You registered on every single gt-r forum trying to prove that porsches are faster, all automobile magazines paid by Nissan, etc...Anyways, looks like you've changed arguments now.
^LOL - YUP!
Skyline - you don't own a TT and you know it. Your comments are too heavily biased and vague to even say you have driven one let alone own one. It is evident that you do not know quality over quantity because you less brains and too much ego.
Porker? I just asked my friend from the "Land Down Under" if he calls his Turbo a "PORKER" and guess what? He doesn't and they don't call it a porker there. Please prove me wrong and if you found one friend it doesn't count. His name is most likely "FIGMENT"...
