Steve safer AFR's would be in the 10's and 11's at WOT. Most manufacturers will run these motors rich as a safety margin. Into the 12's is getting aggressive and higher 12's/low 13's is a time bomb usually.

I am very pleased with the AWE system, and one of my friends is impressed enough to sell his 430 to get a 997tt for that reason. My car is likely going to be written up in 2 magazines later this fall, and you can also PM me if you have any specific questions.

Yup but have you seen the size of the Switzer I/C's they look twice as big as the EVOMS unit....

Sorry eclou I got my head in a twist there and was thinking about the AFR the wrong way round!

perfect tuner do not exist, there is always something....

You should buy:
997 GT2 turbines with modified air wheel to 48mm
Europipe exhaust 76mm
BMC air cleaner
bigger pipes between airbox and turbines for better air flow
for electronic and dyno you can go to Germany.
You also need clutch cover from Sachs performance, end number 752

You will have 620 real ps and 800Nm, with nice toque curve. I think this is the best combination for turbo.

Of course you can have better intercolers to reduce the air temp in intake system and headers but you need to know that standard ones are fine up to 650ps.
There is many headers on the market to buy but only few are worth to have.

I hope this will help you.
Cheers,K

Between turbines and airbox? Through the intercooler? I thought this was a defined flow rate based on the an increase of 0.2 bar specifically for the GT2. How does changing the turbocharger and piping without changing the DME lead to increased performance?

I talked to Paul yesterday and he said the turbochargers are in! Everything should be done soon. He also told me someone from your area is having them build a bunch of cars for him, including an Evo 8 or 9. You know the guy Im talkin about?

original pipes are very restricted for the air.
In turbo most of power gain came from boost increase, and that means turbines need more air to breathe.
I would also recommend intake system from 997 Gt2 in combination with modified GT2 turbines.
(It will reduce lag to the minimum)

I am not sure what you mean engineered by them. All of the tuners on the list outsource some of their products. I am not sure of any of tuners developed the product totally inhouse. A lot of the tuners use GIAC as their ecm tuning software. Some tuners build the headers in-house and so on so on but I am not aware of anyone on the list who has a total propriety tune. Just look a Steve Kasper's resume.
