If it is the right price and fits into your budget, go for it! Other wise keep the 997TT and get a nice Gemballa or Techart kit to give you the edgier look and then get a nice horsepower kit like Switzer and you will be good for at least 2 years...maybe not 3 LOL

A GT2... if you can, then you must. But I would also look at the gen 2 997 GT3, Porsche did a really nice job with it. Or, send your turbo down to Ruf in Dallas and have them convert it into something just as special.

I have a 997 gt2. Its an amazing car, but if you are looking for something to feel special, you shouldn't be thinking about a 911 at all. I sold a carrera gt for the gt2. The carrera gt spoiled everything for me. Nothing can compare. I think the Gallardo would probaly make someone feel the same. I would only recommend the gt2 if you take it to the track. And by the way, it is not faster than a carrera gt!

Do you ever read posts from GT2 owners who regretted their decisions to get a GT2? I can't recall ever seeing one, and that's for a reason. Those cars are absolutely special, and always a thrill to drive. Every time I got in mine over 3 years of ownership I had a smile on my face. It just did everything right, and it had the right amount of rawness. I recently drove a friend's 997 turbo, and while fun, not nearly as exhilarating. I guess that's why I still read GT2 posts and vicariously enjoy owners getting their new ones.
Why did you sell it?
