Garrett bolt on 997 TT

Sorry, I must have misunderstood what you were asking. By "standard" you mean the stock VTG turbos that came with the car, not modified VTG's. Understood.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

actually, no they dont have Garrett bolt on kits. They have hybrid turbos or fab kits. Which they are all great companies... We have an off the shelf kit that bolts to a true Garrett turbo.
As I am picking up my 997TT this week, I will get pics of the components fitted soon.
Here are the parts - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/a...5-p-45759.html
To run a real Garrett turbo you must have headers that will fit with the Garrett flanges. To keep your stock exhaust system, we include a CNC machined adapter flange that bolts to the Garrett turbo to keep your stock exhaust in the correct position. For the 996TT, we include the oil sumps which are all replacements to fit with the Garrett turbos.
Again, I will have our parts tested on the 997TT this week. I know for a fact the headers fit.

Karol,
I would suggest you to stay away from kkk turbine housing garrett turbos.
Since compressor side and turbine side is not matched it will be a bottleneck.
It will spool same as a bigger turbine sided turbo but will make lower power.
or an overall smaller turbo can make similar power with better response.
I experienced this while tuning several Subaru engines.
However, if Tial has done some modifications on the kkk housings or the A/R is different, than those turbos can be efficient. You should ask them if they are genuine KKK housings.

probably you are right, all this situation isn't easy.
I won't use kit like vividracing offers because I would like to have full boost at 3000rpm. I don't need power at the level of 750HP.
I have standard internals and I will be very happy with a bit over 600PS and maximum toque of 750Nm at 3000 rpm and the max egt at level of 900C
I will visit today ATP and I will tough the gt 28/71R.
Yes guys I'm here, San Francisco.

I would like to know from 997gt3/TT the result using gt2 turbos, do you really appreciate a big difference, less turbo leg? I would like to change my stock turbos and now I must choose.
My 997 it's in progress:
Gt2 front and rear
Bilstein Pss9
ecu
techart sway bars
evos intercooler
idplenum
techart full exhaust
My 997 it's in progress:
Gt2 front and rear

idplenum
techart full exhaust

Yes in Italy we love to be confortable .
No, my car was bumped with a damage to all the rear left part included the suspension. To do a nice job we decided to pull the engine. The insurance of the other car involved in the incident will not be happy.....
In any case a friend of mine has a 997 GT2 with ecu ( digitaltunig) and racing exh. (www.superspint.it) and it really fly, from 2000 to 7200 rpm the engine pulls in a great way . Very low turbo lag, so i'm wandering if the gt2 turbos is a good choice . I tried a friend car ( now he sold the TT for the Gt2 ) with evoms kit ( he gived to me the intercooler and the idplenum ) with modifyed turbo, the Gt2 engine it's better.

Pretty funny....
When I drove the GT2, I felt more lag than my Turbo...could be my imagination.
