with that type of chrome coating you will seriously reduce your signal performance. best to go for a osram diadem of philips silversion type. hides the yellow 80% or so but also keeps all the safety of the lamps performance.

With these chrome ones you get maybe 30% illumination performance i.e. no one will see your lane change intentions.

Thanks - Could you be more specific about the osram diadem or philips silversion. Model numbers etc.

7507 for rear indicators is what your looking for. I prefer the diadem type but not easy to find.

For clear markers (assuming you hbave euro ones installed) go with the hoen chromium www.hoen-usa.com/cr.htm

Another consideration is those bulbs get about as hot as the sun. They are fine for turn signals but replacing bulbs that are on for any extended periods of time can lead to significant problems. Several people have used those in non-Porsche application and melted their bulb sockets and/or housings.

changing out the turn signals and side markers is fine, bulbs run just as cool as stock. xenon look ones are a different story, and the cause of melting issues, not these guys above.

blue glass tint acts as a yellow light filter thus retains heat, if the housing is too small it will cause the soft plastics to give way.

Has anyone tried the new Hoen Chromium for rear tail lights?

http://www.hoen-usa.com/cr.htm

Hopefully they are reliable and don't burn up harness?

Thanks
