I took my 997 to Fabspeed. I'm happy to say its stupid fast. They put on their cold air intake and a tune by PES. It already had their quiet exhaust. The car runs great. Its different from the previous tune. The PES tune adjusts the shift points, I have a tip. Now is downshifts right away with only a little touch on the throttle. Much nicer than having to give more throttle or hitting the shift button. No waiting, its just there. Much more power at low rpm, now it feels like a v8. The boost comes on right away and seems to be higher.

The car is deceptively fast. The power comes on smooth and low so its not an strong kick after a lag, but its definitely a lot more power. I kept running into traffic and even when cruising I'm always on the brake. I hate to say it but its almost too responsive, if that is possible. I can feel the car got stronger as I drove it more. I think the computer was learning. From the smooth power it will be better on the track coming out of turns.

Joe, Jay and Jeremy at Fabspeed are great. Jeremy found some problem with the exhaust clamps and replaced them at no charge. Tony from PES came over to see how things were going and he clearly knows his stuff. They explained the design of the tune and the stuff they changed. Both Jeremy and Tony contacted me to see if I was satisfied. FabSpeed and PES are first class businesses.

Nice...Does Fabspeed CAI make an power on dyno ???

IS PES tune an ECU or TCU as well ???

 

They say the CAI makes more power on the dyno. They wanted to dyno my car but couldn't get access to the dyno needed for a tip.
I don't know the difference ECU or TCU. What is TCU? I suggest you call/pm Jeremy at Fabspeed or Tony at PES. They tried to explain it all to me.

I am happy to see you are very satisfied with the PES flash and our CAI I knew you would be much happier with the PES flash....it is much smoother and makes more power than the flash that we removed Keep in touch!!

The more I drive it the more I like it. Al low speeds it feels like an automatic torquey V8, lots of torque and not need to rev the engine to get power. The tune has transfomed the car.

The PES Flash is just an ECU Flash

 

One thing i've noticed after my PES/Fabspeed work is that the traction control comes on nearly every time at WOT in 1st and 2nd gear... anyone else?

 

Turn it off! A little wheelspin is better than traction control taking it all away from you
