Linen Metallic Anyone?

I was looking for pictures of a straight Linen colored Porsche and I came across this Linen Metallic (code L999) 911.

I think it would be a stunning color on the 997TT and I would consider it if I were to order a new car.

I may go and have a look at it tomorrow as the car is (was?) for sale near me.

What do you guys think?

Having said this I hope I've uploaded the file correctly.

Better quality pictures can be see at:

http://www.carsauto.com/detail.cfm?V=1991|Porsche|964|Turbo&ID=349035

I've nothing to do with this car or sale

Wow -- Beautiful color . I recall when that color was popular (similar on non Porsches too). I used to call it "champagne" .

The 1999 mirage metallic is similar but not as bright . The linen metallic IMO would look so clean on a 997tt . I know most would opt for dark wheels contrast it my pick would go to some brushed Hre P43's and Techart type one . I go back and forth whether I'd place a carbon vent and mirror inserts and I probably would skip it .

In the sunlight that color would be amazing .

I agree that it's a brighter color than mirage metallic and thus gives a bigger "pop" in color, yet is elegant and soft in nature - at least from the pictures I've seen.

I don't think it's a color that would complement carbon trim as well as some other colors, though black trim works as seen in the photos. I'm biased on not using carbon trim in most cases though one of my bicycles is almost all carbon fiber including carbon wheels and other components.

A coco interior would work nicely as well.

I agree on the "no carbon" and think cocoa is a great match choice ! The exterior is a neutral color where almost any interior would match IMO. Your car is going to look awesome.

Ah! finally I see a linen non-met on a current model. Nice, but a bit soft for me.

I'm not looking to get another 997TT right now but I might just have to consider the met-linen with the silk gray in the future. WOW! That would be a beautiful color combination on the Turbo as well. Just Wow!

Thanks for posting the pictures!
