I'm not sure if I have melted CD's or if the player is just having a bad day . The symptom is that mid way through a song it switches into radio . This occurs regardless of a CD in the single slot or out of the changer .
Is there some way to clean this?
Ipod would really help ... anyone hook one up?
Could this be heat related ? It has to be the hottest day I have seen in a long time here . Blistering sun all day and I did drive the car this weekend.

Since no one replied I did get to find out what was wrong. Apparently the Nav system has this traffic/weather setting where if set it will automatically exit a CD (when it feels like it) and play a radio station . It was reset at the dealership and the CD player is OK .

As for ipod . I didn't ask . I may wait to see the new touchscreen unit and inquire aboit retrofit.
